Craftjam also do laser-cut keyrings, and are based in the UK! Haven't tried them or Zap yet, gonna have to pick one or the other next month though!

RE: The "human baby" thing, in the episode they said they had three little boys, they were just trapped in cat bodies right now.

Yeah, that's actually a thing they said  :-\

Oh heck, no screenshot required, I knew it was a dumb question but I figured it was worth clarifying, since the fakers are being so underhanded about it all. Good of you to check in with them!

Dumb question, but you got the email addy from Kickstarter, not IGG, right? Because apparently with the other ones they'd set up fake email accounts and were even posting in forums to promote their 'campaign'.. Which is sort of horrifying.

Wow, seriously? That's crazy!

Actually, since October of last year, Kickstarter is open to UK-created projects too!

It's a shame, since I like that version. Superhero books don't know what they're after anymore- They keep asking us to take them seriously when they have people running around in thongs and tiny pants. Either go full serious or full pantomime, just go one way or the other.

I guess this is why I can't read cape books at all.

That's really pretty! Your comics will look like they're chilling in a fancy hotel :3

I just have a perspex U shape that I put them in- They're printed landscape, and finding a holder of any depth that'll fit them is really annoying. Also the giant rack things are really bloody annoying to carry to get to the convention, if you're hauling a bag of 50+ books through the underground, last thing you need is one of those giant bloody stands bumping around and potentially breaking. Those wire ones seem to fix that, might grab a few!

I like them all except the brown trousers on Wondy, probably some dark blue or black leggings would work better, right now it looks like she was caught while changing and had to go kick butt while still wearing half her street clothes.

Electra and Psylocke look great, really shows up how pointless the leggy 'look at my crotch' designs usually look.

I just installed 'limit login attempts' after hearing about this... unfortunately I can't change my username. :C
You can, however, create a new name with full privileges, then delete the "admin" user. During the deletion process wordpress asks you what you want to do with the posts made by admin, you can then transfer them to the new username!

Gotta say though I don't know what various plugins may do to this process, but it worked for me despite having the Webcomic plugin installed.

The Tinkerer's Workshop / ISBNs?
« on: April 11, 2013, 06:09:27 AM »
Anyone who's printed their comics, did you get an ISBN for the books? Is it worth it? In the UK, you can only get them in a pack of ten rather than single ones, which makes it a bit of an investment, and I'm trying to figure out if it's necessary or not.

I've had books out for a year or so without them, and the only problem I've run into is not being able to list them on Amazon, but physical comic shops have taken copies without an ISBN quite happily. Would love to hear any thoughts on the matter!

The Tinkerer's Workshop / Re: Comixology now taking submissions!

Well, I figured it was worth a shot, and the first Widdershins book got accepted! Took from when Submit came online until now for it to go through.

Will let you guys know how I find the process- It doesn't give you any live sales reports, so I think you don't find out how things went til the quarter.

The Academy / Re: Donations

I have a little sketchbook concept art PDF thing I link to donators, seems to work ok! Any little extra thing would likely be appreciated, but remember that they're donating because they love the comic itself- the best reward is just to carry on making it!

Anything that brings more attention to the nonsense on some covers is good!

The Gazette / Widdershins Kickstarter!
« on: October 31, 2012, 10:55:20 AM »
Kickstarter just launched in the UK, so I'm hopping on board and trying to get my comic in print! It's going pretty good so far, but the more the word is spread, the better!

The Widdershins Kickstarter is GO!

The most-magically charged city in England is in trouble, with invisible monsters caused by ill-formed spells roaming the streets, and wizards passing out by the dozen, stricken by some unknown ailment. Through coincidence, and perhaps a little intention, the fate of Widdershins rests in the hands of Jack O'Malley- A workshy vagrant who just happens to have the exact right gift needed to help, but no intention of doing so.

Aided by a kindly German violinist and a fussy wizard who only barely scraped through his degree, he'll have to save the city- whether he wants to or not.

I'm looking to fund Widdershins Volume 2, and here's the chance to help! It'd mean an unutterable amount to me and my business to have this book crowdfunded, it really would, so please take a look if you have time!
