You know, we have a Comic Updates section on the side bar. No need to post every update. :)

It's been a long time since I hung out on Google hangouts! It sounds fun.

Ungrateful creators? Wow.

I had no problem with their prices, honestly? But wow, I'm glad I didn't really have problems with my print run, because if I was met with that attitude trying to get a problem solved, I'd be joining the ungrateful side.

No smut. That right there pretty much means this won't work out.

Honestly, this seems like a half-baked attempt at monetizing something that isn't completely understood by the people doing it.

Finally finished this! I was testing my Pentel pocket brush pen and my acrylic inks. :)

I prefer drawing men. I guess maybe it's wish-fufillment since  I'm transgender, although it could genuinely could be I prefer the angles of the male body. I also have a few genderless and non-cis that are fun to draw.

But I do lean toward androgyny either way.

The Tavern / Re: Is Having a Fanbase a Responsibility?

I know this post had intentions of going deeply into the responsibilities one has when directing or interacting with a fanbase, but Anne Rice is just batshit crazy.

She's been at this for years and sadly none of it is new and it has lost all its humor. Imagine she used to do this same amount of trolling from a newsletter she would mail to people.

Some people just shouldn't have internet privileges.
Ahaha, oh I'm aware of this. When I first found Fandom Wank, it was because of the glorious epic drama Rice stirred up. But the people defending her from blame are (hopefully) not batshit crazy, so I still thought it relevant.

Clearly a fandom gathered around someone who cannot hear less than sycophantic praise is going to be easy to incite...because those that can think critically about this person and realize they have faults and flaws in both their person and writing would likely stay far far away from said person's facebook.

Thanks guys!

Finals are finally over this week, so maybe I'll be able to get that piece finished!

I had this problem with prints of two different sizes I got for the same price. I chose one, but now I'm selling one set on 'clearance' to get rid of them

The Tavern / Is Having a Fanbase a Responsibility?
« on: May 06, 2013, 05:31:18 AM »
I was reading this article about Anne Rice posting a link to a scathing review on one of her books, and the fans harassing the blogger.

People seem split on whether Anne Rice is responsible for her fans invading this blogger's journal.

I think when you're a public figure, you bear more responsibility for your actions in public than a normal person who expects some level of anonymity even in public. Particularly if you've been around long enough to know your fandom well enough to expect this kind of thing.

But this is just my opinion. What do you think?
