I nominate, because of the 6th panel.  I love how Trystan looks like she goes into near-trance to stamp out more names :P. It's from Sept. 30th tho, so I should maybe pick an other page? :P

LOL- Thank you Muninn XD

I use comic rocket as my main archive keeper these days, its enormously helpful (before i would just check my book marks like a dummy). I also cant believe how many comics i read now XD ( though my list is modest compared to some people). Ive seen super readers with lists in the hundreds!! 0_0

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to mention that in your submission (like ask them to please focus on chapter X thru z).

For those of you who are brave, the webcomic beacon is opening submissions for web comic/website reviews. Might be a fun thing to do for promotion or some critique. I believe deadline for this trial run is October 5th.

i think that man will have a pencil in his hand till the day he dies. But from what i read he takes such control of his movie projects that i dont think he sleeps. I wish him the best of luck, the guy deserves a break XD

The Artist's Studio / dumb questions about Manga studio 4
« on: July 31, 2013, 10:32:54 AM »

So i picked up manga studio EX4 a few months back. Have done some doodles and played around with it. I want to try doing some legitimate comic work wiith it now But I cant seem to get past the most basic step which is importing my sketch. I have no idea why i cant get this to work. Perhaps Im just too spoiled by adobe suite.

Someone suggested that the sketch page be to size of the page layout in manga studio. But no matter what the image size (large or small) it gets blown up and...uhhh, run through some kinda vector filter?? I seriously have no idea what the program is doing at this point XD.

Google couldn't help me so im hoping someone here has the answer, Also would appreciate any inking tips if i can get to step 2, haha.

oh my gosh if you made a mermaid comic i would read the crap out of that thing!

I agree that the colors are nice. I wouldnt quite say it looks underwater, i sorta thought it was like a dreamy haze, like we are reading a memory- Its a pretty awesome effect (steals that idea for later).

I have to agree on the intense highlights. My suggestion would be to just turn the opacity down on them, even if its only like 20% less. I think it will knock them back enough that they wont be as distracting to the eye. Right now its just really sparkly (which again is a cool effect if this was a more dreamy kind of scene).
